I just got back from WordCamp Cebu and learnt a lot of fantastic WordPressy things. If you’ve never been, you should consider attending your local ‘Camp. It’s a great networking and learning opportunity. Now I’m back in the virtual office, I’m thrilled to give you an early look at Gravity PDF Bulk Generator 2.0! It’ll be released next month, but I’ll give you a little sneak peek ahead of time.
While it looks similar, the user interface in Bulk Generator 2.0 has been completely rewritten. The generator process is more inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly for everyone. I won’t bore you with the details, but suffice it to say there were plenty of discussions over things like what HTML tags to use and the specific shade of colors to choose. Yep, I really do mean a complete rewrite!
But the feature I’m most excited about in the up-coming release is one a lot of our customers have been asking for. We’ve added an option that will merge all generated PDFs into one file, which can make organizing documents easier. Just imagine merging all your invoices for the quarter into a single PDF you send to accounting? Too easy!
For users who like a bit more control, we’ve introduced a new Filename setting that allows you to change the name of the downloaded zip or PDF document (if merging). No more generic archive.zip files! And last but certainly not least, your bulk-generator settings are now remembered by your browser. If you use the Bulk Generator feature regularly, you should love how much time this small enhancement will save you every month.
Last month I published a How-To guide about automating invoices and managing taxes efficiently using Gravity PDF. If manual invoicing has been a pain point for you or your business, this could be a game-changer. Feel free to reply to this email if you’ve any questions. 👍
In other news, Gravity PDF core had two bug fix releases. If you’re interested, you can find links to the release notes at the end of this email. Also, the first beta for Gravity Forms 2.9 was announced. There’s some really cool stuff coming to Gravity Forms soon, and our development team are reviewing how Gravity PDF can best support the new features.
