We are extremely excited to announce that Gravity 6.0 is now available to the public! 🎉 This major release includes a ton of powerful new features, refreshed interface to seamlessly integrate with the new Gravity Forms 2.5 UI, and quality of life improvements to deliver superior user experience.
It was 11:09pm last Tuesday night (Australian time) when I had the pleasure to receive the Slack notification from Gravity Forms Community Liaison, James Giroux, that Gravity Forms 2.5 had been publicly released and available for download…
In anticipation for the upcoming release of Gravity Forms 2.5 on Tuesday April 27 (US EST), today we’ve published 6.0-RC2. If you haven’t already, we strongly encourage you to start testing Gravity Forms 2.5-RC3 and Gravity PDF 6.0-RC2 on a staging site to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
Our team has been working tirelessly to finalise our own release candidate for Gravity PDF 6.0, and is now ready for testing – almost perfectly timed with the 2.5-RC2 release. We’ve done a lot of refinements since we first announced 6.0.0-beta1 in October last year. The most notable are accessibility improvements for keyboard and screen reader users and better display of the admin pages for RTL languages.
As we explained in the August update, there are serious changes afoot. In recognition of this, we’re doing a major version release and increasing our minimum requirements to PHP7.3+, WP5.3+, and Gravity Forms 2.5+. After three months, 147 commits and 520 files changed, we’re finally ready to announce our very own beta 🥳! Let’s take a peek under the hood, shall we?
